OG to Participate in the EPICENTER Major Qualifiers
Sébastien "Ceb" Debs, an offlane player for OG, has announced during his stream that their team will participate in the qualifiers for the third major of the season, EPICENTER Major 2020.
OG have been on extended vacation since their victory at The International 2019, which means that they did not participate in the qualifiers for both MDL Chengdu Major and DreamLeague Season 13. This season the teams are invited to closed qualifiers based on their DPC points, which means that OG will have to start from the open qualifiers, just like Team Secret and Nigma did for the second set of qualifiers.
It remains unknown what will happen to OG’s second Dota 2 squad, which was announced earlier last month. The team failed to make it through the open qualifiers for DreamLeague Major. According to the rules of Dota Pro Circuit, two affiliated teams cannot participate in the same event.
EPICENTER Major 2020 is scheduled for May 8-10th at will take place at CSKA Arena in Moscow, Russia. The event will feature 16 teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool and 15,000 DPC points.
