PUBG: Season 6 to Introduce a New Map with Destructible Objects
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Test Server has been updated to version 6.1, which once deployed to live servers will mark the start of the sixth season. The update introduces a new map called Karakin as well as several new mechanics, including Dark Zone that destroys objects and a new type of throwables.
The main changes of the update are listed below:
- New Map Karakin: a 2x2 km desert map designed for 64 players features wide-open terrain and complex underground complexes
- Black Zone (Karakin Only): a replacement for Red Zone, Black Zone launches projectiles that can completely destroy or damage buildings in the area
- New Throwable: Sticky Bomb (Karakin Only), which can be used to destroy special breach points in walls and floors
- Bullet Penetration for some of the weaker walls on Karakin
- Maps Rotation: Karakin will replace Vikendi in matchmaking, which will be temporarily unavailable and further reworked by developers
- New Survivor Pass called Shakedown with new missions and rewards
The update includes multiple other changes, such sound and performance improvements, as well as various bug fixes. To check them all, visit the official website. Besides that, the developers have already added Motor Glider to live servers – the vehicle can be found on Erangel and Miramar and needs to be refuel before use.
