Dota 2 to Be Featured at Esports Nations Cup with a $1.5 Million Prize Pool
The organizers of the Esports Nations Cup have confirmed that a Dota 2 tournament will be held as part of the championship. The competition will become part of a large-scale esports event and will take place in November this year.
The Dota 2 tournament is scheduled for November 2–8. A total of 32 national teams will take part: 16 teams will receive direct invitations, 14 will qualify through regional qualifiers, and two more participants will be determined via the Wildcard stage.
The qualification tournaments will be held from June 16 to July 5. The total prize pool for the Dota 2 tournament will amount to $1.5 million, making it one of the largest events among national team competitions.
The Esports Nations Cup will also feature other disciplines. Earlier, the organizers announced that a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament will be held as part of the championship.
