Falcons and Vitality advance to PGL Cluj-Napoca playoffs

Falcons secured a victory over FURIA in the match for a playoff spot at PGL Cluj-Napoca in CS2. The series ended 2:1, allowing the team to move on to the next stage of the tournament undefeated.

The matchup began with a loss for Falcons on Mirage (14:16), but the squad quickly turned the tide. They dominated Inferno (13:4) and then closed out the series on Anubis with a 13:11 win. kyousuke (1.49 rating) and m0NESY (1.28 rating) were the standout performers in the victory.

This result marked Falcons’ first win over FURIA since molodoy and YEKINDAR joined their opponents. Prior to this match, Falcons had suffered four consecutive defeats against the same side, including the BLAST Rivals Fall grand final.

With the win, Falcons finished the group stage with a 3-0 record and advanced directly to the playoffs. FURIA will continue their run in the 2-1 bracket, where they are set to face PARIVISION.

Earlier, Vitality also secured a playoff berth with an identical 3-0 record.

PGL Cluj-Napoca runs from February 14 to 22 and features a total prize pool of $1,250,000.
