ESL One Birmingham 2018: List of Participants is Set
The upcoming Dota 2 major tournament ESL One Birmingham, which was announced a month ago, now has a finalized list of participants as the qualifiers have concluded in all six regions.
The first Dota 2 major in the United Kingdom will feature 12 teams, half of them were directly invited by the organizers, including Virtus.pro, Team Liquid, Newbee, Vici Gaming, Evil Geniuses and Mineski. The other six teams had to make it through the closed qualifiers in six regions, which were held in a single-elimination format in Europe, CIS, China, Southeast Asia, North America and South America. The following teams managed to place first in their regions: OG (Europe), Natus Vincere (CIS), LGD.Forever Young (China), Fnatic (Southeast Asia), OpTic Gaming (North America) and paiN Gaming (South America). These twelve teams will travel to the United Kingdom in May to compete at Arena Birmingham for their share of a $1,000,000 prize pool and 1500 qualification points.
