The group stage of DreamHack Open Summer 2020: Europe is concluding later today and we already know two participants of the playoffs stage – they are Complexity Gaming and BIG. Meanwhile, MAD Lions and Team Spirit have been eliminated.
To reach the first places in their groups, BIG defeated Endpoint (2-1) and Heroic (2-0), while Complexity outplayed forZe (2-1) and OG (2-0).
The final two participants of the playoffs stage will be the winners of the today’s decider matches, where Endpoit will face Heroic (12:00 PM UK Time), and forZe will take on OG (3:00 PM). Both series will be best-of-three.
The playoffs stage will follow a single-elimination format with best-of-three series. The semifinals will be played on August 15th, while the grand finale is scheduled for August 16th. The winner of the event will receive $35,000 in prize money.
DreamHack Open Summer 2020 is currently also ongoing in North America, where Team Liquid, FURIA Esports, Chaos E.C. already secured their places in the playoffs, while Cloud9 will face Team One today at 6:00 PM in the match for the final spot in the playoffs.
