Dota 2 Update: Frostivus Event and New Treasure for Free

Valve released a new update for Dota 2, which adds special event Frostivus and new treasure with 21 sets.

The Frostivus Festival

The new special event has been added to the game. You will compete in a number of mini-games randomly selected from a larger pool for each match. The mode was created by VicFrant, the Workshop contributor who won the contest and received $30,000 in prize money. There are 32 mini games in total, the mode will be available until January 2nd.

The Frostivus 2017 Treasure Chest

The new holiday chest contains 21 community-created sets. You can receive one chest for free - to get it, you need to simply win three games of Dota before the end of the event.

Other changes

• New dashboard theme for Frostivus.
• The Play tab option for The Frostivus Festival has been added.
• A bunch of secondary abilities of some heroes that did not have a cast animation have now been given one (which is that of the base spell itself) | Example: Kunkka's Return now uses the cast animation of the X Marks The Spot.
