Blizzard Announce Six Masters Tour Events in 2020

Blizzard Entertainment have revealed that the new professional Hearthstone season will include six Masters Tour events and revealed the first information on them. The schedule of events will look as follows:

• January 31st – February 2nd: Masters Tour #1 (Arlington, Texas)
• March 20th – 22nd: Masters Tour #2 (Bali, Indonesia)
• June 12th – 14th: Masters Tour #3 (Jönköping, Sweden)
• July/August: : Masters Tour #4 (Asia-Pacific Region)
• September 11th – 13th: : Masters Tour #5 (Montreal, Canada)
• December: : Masters Tour #6 (Spain)

The events will be held by ESL and DreamHack. The base prize pool of each will be set at $250,000, with crowdfunding enabled for all competitions.

Last year there were only three Masters Tour events, held in Las Vegas, Seoul, and Bucharest. The season concluded with GrandMasters 2019 – Global Finals, a $500,000 LAN-event that was held during BlizzCon 2019. In the grand finals of the tournament the Chinese female player Xiaomeng "Liooon" Li defeated Brian "bloodyface" Eason from United States and claimed $200,000 in prize money.
