ALEX Departs Team Vitality Due to Busy Schedule
Alex "ALEX" McMeekin has departed Team Vitality by choice due to the busy schedule of the team. The player explained that at this time he is moving away from playing on the professional scene; however, his plans for future are not set.
In his TwitLonger post the player wrote that last year the team spent 36 weeks travelling. Although the team decided to reduce the amount to 22 weeks, they were unable to reach their goal due to the appearance of multiple prolonged leagues, such as ESL Pro Tour and BLAST Premier.
ALEX is a 24-years-old British player, who joined Team Vitality in December 2018 and became its in-game leader. Under his lead the team emerged victorious at Charleroi Esports 2019, cs_summit 4, ECS Season 7 Finals, and EPICENTER 2019, as well as participated IEM XIII – Katowice Major 2019 (9-11th) and StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 (5-8th).
