NiKo Leaves FaZe for G2, Olofmeister Makes a Comeback

Nikola "NiKo" Kovač has been transferred from FaZe Clan to G2 Esports, becoming the sixth member of the roster. Meanwhile, Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson has temporarily returned to FaZe’s active roster.

NiKo has been playing since early 2017. Over these four years, the team managed to win about a dozen big events, including ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017, ECS 4 Finals and EPICENTER 2018. Just a few weeks ago, the team also placed first at IEM XV – New York Online.

After the addition of NiKo, G2 Esports now have six players, one of which is NiKo’s cousin Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač. According to the official statement, the team will be determining the line-up for each match. Next Monday the team will start competing in Group C at BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 – Regular Season – in the first series they will face FURIA Esports (6:30 PM UK time).

Meanwhile today FaZe Clan will start playing in Group B at BLAST Premier. Olofmeister, who has been inactive since May, will temporarily stand-in for the team. In the first match they will face BIG, the series is scheduled for 6:30 PM.
