MIBR Completes Line-up of the European Division of ESL One Cologne 2020

ESL have completed the line-up for ESL One: Cologne 2020 and announced the final participants for each of the regional divisions. Interestingly enough, the Brazilian squad MIBR will participate in the European division instead of the North American league.

The organizers have explained that initially, when the event was supposed to be held offline, MIBR agreed to participate in a planned but not announced offline qualifier, so they arranged their stay in Europe during the event. Due to travel restrictions to the US the organizers agreed to let the team to compete in the European division.

The rest of the regions now also have complete line-ups – Triumph and Chaos E.C. will compete in North America, Vici Gaming, Invictus Gaming and Beyond Esports will play in the Asian division, while ORDER, AVANT and Chiefs are the last participants of the Oceanic league. Thus, the full list of participants looks as follows:

  • Europe: Astralis, Fnatic, Natus Vincere, G2 Esports, mousesports, FaZe Clan, Team Vitality, Ninjas in Pyjamas, BIG, Complexity Gaming, OG, Heroic, MAD Lions, MIBR, Team Heretics, Sprout
  • North America: Team Liquid, 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses, FURIA Esports, Cloud9, Gen.G Esports, Triumph, Chaos Esports Club
  • Asia: Renegades, ORDER, Avant Gaming, Chiefs Esports Club
  • Oceania: TyLoo, Vici Gaming, Invictus Gaming, Beyond Esports

The event will begin on August 18th in Europe and North America, meanwhile the Asian and Oceanic divisions will start on August 25th. All regional competitions will conclude on August 30th. The biggest prize pool of the event – $325,000 – belongs to the European division; the American teams will compete for $135,000; meanwhile the prize pool for both Asia and Oceania is set at $20,000.
