Legendary Xiao8 is Back to Reincarnate the Big God Squad
Zhang "xiao8" Ning announced on Weibo (Chinese analogue of Twitter) that he is coming back to the professional scene with the reincarnated Big God squad.
Xiao8 started his professional Dota 2 career back in 2011 and is considered to be one of the strongest and experienced in-game leaders in China. He used to play for different rosters of the Chinese power houses LGD and Newbee. He managed to visit almost every The International, except for the last one, and is the champion of The International 2014.
Originally Big God was created in late 2014 and consisted of BurNIng, xiao8, rOtk, LaNm and iceice. The team qualified for Dota 2 Asia Championship 2015 and placed 4th, taking $214,026 in prize money. Later though the team got disbanded as the players decided to join different organizations. In the new edition of Big God xiao8 will play as a semi-support, he will be joined by BurNIng (carry), Ferrari_430 (mid), chisbug (full support). The offlaner role will be filled by Shen "Wudi" Chao – a new player who started to play Dota 2 only about half a year ago, but already managed to achieve 8000 MMR in the old ranked system and reach top 100 in the Chinese region in the new one. The team intend to participate in various online tournaments and regional qualifiers.
