Group Seeding for StarLadder Invitational Season 5 Revealed
We are just a week before the start of the final Dota 2 minor this season – StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 5, which will feature eight teams competing for a $300,000 prize pool and 300 qualification points. Recently the organizers revealed the seeding for the group stage.
The event will take place in Kiev, Ukraine on April 11-15. The list of participants consists of eight teams – Natus Vincere and Newbee received direct invites from the organizers, while VGJ.Thunder, Team Kinguin, FlyToMoon, OpTic Gaming, SG e-sports, LGD Gaming and Fnatic made it through the regional qualifiers. The competition will start with the group stage – the teams were placed into two groups of four with GSL format and best-of-three series. The groups look as follows:

Top two teams from each group will advance to the single-elimination playoffs bracket with best-of-three regular matches and best-of-five grand finals. The winner of the tournament will get $135,000 in prize money and 150 Pro Circuit Points.
The previous StarLadder Dota 2 event was held on February 1-4 in Shanghai. In the Grand Finals Team Liquid defeated LGD Gaming 3-1 and received $135,000 and 150 DPC Points.
