Galaxy Battles II Dota 2 Major: Participants

The list of participants for the upcoming major tournament Galaxy Battles II is set as closed qualifiers have concluded in all regions.

Closed qualifiers were held in all six regions: North America, South America, Europe, CIS, Southeast Asia and China. First, eight participating team were divided into two groups with GSL system. Then, the winner of each group advanced to the second stage, where they joined two invited teams and competed in a single-elimination bracket with best-of-three matches. The winner of each regional qualifier advanced to the main event.

• South America – paiN Gaming
• China – VGJ.Thunder
• Southeast Asia – Mineski

Moreover, teams that placed second in EU and CIS qualifiers advanced to the Wild Card stage, where they will face the winners of an amateur SEA tournament New Blood Championships. Top two teams will make it to the main event.

The main event will be held on January 15-21 at Philippine Arena in Province of Bulakan, Philippines. Participating teams will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool and 1500 DPC points. The qualified teams will be joined by another 8 teams, that received direct invites from the organizers, including:
