FunPlus Phoenix Confirms Purchase of Heroic CS:GO Roster

The Chinese esports organization FunPlus Phoenix has opened its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive by acquiring the Danish roster of Heroic, which consists of Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, Martin "stavn" Lund, Johannes "b0RUP" Borup, Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer, Casper "cadiaN" Møller and is coached by Frederik "LOMME" Nielsen.

The team is currently placed #14th in the world rankings, as recently they emerged victorious at GG.Bet Winter Cup and DreamHack Open Atlanta 2019. This year they also placed 3rd-4th at DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020 and finished 7-8th at GG.Bet Ice Challenge 2020. Currently the team is participating in FLASHPOINT Season 1, where they are founding members and are competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool.

FunPlus Phoenix was created is 2017 and is mainly known for their League of Legends roster, which is a member of LPL. Currently the organization is also represented in Fortnite.
