G2 became the champions of BLAST Open London 2025, defeating Vitality in the grand final with a 3:2 score. This is the team’s first victory of the season and their first trophy under huNter-, who took over as captain just two months ago.

The match started with a confident win for G2 on Dust2, where Vitality failed to impose their game. On Mirage, the situation flipped: Vitality took a quick lead, and ZywOo delivered an outstanding streak of rounds to even the map score. On Overpass, Vitality continued their dominance and pulled ahead in the series.

The turning point came on Inferno, where Vitality had a match point but couldn’t capitalize on their advantage. G2 closed out the map in overtime thanks to crucial plays from malbsMd and MATYS, bringing the final back to life. On the decisive Train, HeavyGod and MATYS became the main heroes — not only pulling off spectacular clutches but also setting the tone for the entire map, allowing G2 to confidently seal the series.

HeavyGod was named the MVP of the tournament, earning the first title of his career.
